Microsyringes

Microsyringes are one of the most widely used items by laboratories (science and medical) and laboratory equipment manufacturers. An expansive variety of microsyringe models have been developed over the years to meet the needs of consumers in these environments. Today, many of these customers are able to buy microsyringes online.

Innovative Labor Systeme (ILS) is a microsyringe manufacturer based in Stützerbach, Germany. This small village in central Germany has a long, rich history of producing quality glassware. Since 1674, Stützerbach has been a center for glass making innovation including the German thermometer (1830), the electric bulb (1883), the vacuum flask (1895) and the Röntgen X-ray tube (1893). Since its founding in 1992, ILS has manufactured high-quality microsyringes to meet the demands of the world’s leading laboratories, laboratory equipment manufacturers and laboratory consumables distributors.

ILS’s microsyringes may be used for precision sampling and dosage in chromatography (high-performance liquid, gas and thin layer), spectroscopy, preparation of standard solutions, manual application and use in autosamplers, diluters, dispensers and other liquid handling instruments. The company has crafted microsyringes for sale in volumes ranging from 0.5 μL to 100 mL. An ILS microsyringe can be used for a variety of purposes including infusing, dispensing reagents, calibration, aspirating, pipetting and sampling. Industries or markets that may utilize microsyringes include pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, petrochemical, neuroscience, research and development, food and beverage and government.

All of ILS’s microsyringes are manufactured in from high-quality DURAN® 3.3 borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is heat and shock resistant, which ultimately protects against breakage from shock and sudden or extreme fluctuations in temperature. This type of glass provides a product with maximum chemical resistance and ultra-low expansion glass to furnish superior precision and calibration. Additionally, all polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE; Teflon™) and metal parts of an ILS microsyringe are designed and manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art computer-controlled milling and lathing machines and specialized glass-shrinking equipment.

ILS employs a unique method to apply the label markings to their glass barrels. The graduated markings are screen printed with silver ink and then heated. A chemical reaction occurs between the boron in the glass and the silver to etch the unique brown-colored markings that will not wash off, rub off or fade over time. The benefits of ILS’s microsyringes include easy cleaning and maintenance, accurate dispensing, reusable, economical, durable, chemically resistant and thermal shock resistance.

Consumers who buy microsyringes online can rest assured that ILS products have been tested in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) protocols and utilize equipment that is traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards. The company also offers needles; accessories, such as fittings, guides, flange tools, cleaning wires, racks, and washers; replacement rotary valves for pump drives; and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) drive pumps.

Today, ILS is a premier microsyringe manufacturer offering more than 1000 types and variations of microsyringes for sale. The company prides itself on innovation through customization. As a result, they are always ready to break new ground and develop new and innovative products. ILS also offers maintenance and repair services for their lines of products.
